Moon Nest

The natural quiet at night, with owls, foxes, and other animals, seemed peaceful at first. Then a group, possibly the resort owner or their friends, played loud music, partied, and shouted late into the night. At a small resort like Moon Nest, that ruined the peaceful atmosphere and our experience. The management or owner seemed to lack basic common sense and an understanding of hospitality. I stayed one night. The place is very small, the road to the resort is still in poor condition, and breakfast wasn't impressive.

I've stayed here 4 or 5 times over the past few years, most recently last night with my parents. Each visit has been a positive experience. The setting is beautiful, and the grounds are well maintained. Staff are very helpful, and the food is delicious, with meals served on time.

I lost trust in this resort after how they handled a rate they'd offered me. I'd been messaging their official Facebook page for over a month about a January stay. They quoted BDT 10,000 for their Crab House and Tropical Suites. I checked the price several times, and they assured me it would stay the same when I booked later because that's what they'd quoted. I believed them and was excited, as it would have been my first trip to Cox’s Bazar and my first long vacation. But when I contacted them recently to finalize the booking, they raised it to BDT 16,000. I reminded them of our conversation and showed proof, but they denied their earlier commitment and wouldn't honor the offer. For a resort that says it values guests, that kind of unreliable, unprofessional behavior was deeply disappointing. Their careless attitude took all the excitement out of the trip. I hope management takes responsibility and improves its communication and commitment policies. I can't recommend the resort now. If this is how they treat potential guests before booking, I can only imagine how frustrating a stay might be.

We had no room service at all during our two-day stay, and whenever we asked for anything, it took 30 minutes to an hour. The staff showed no basic hospitality. There are no onsite activities, and the so-called beach access is misleading. The beach is quite far and disappointing. The resort looks well organized at first, but the actual service was poor. Save your money and book somewhere else.
