DuSai Resort & Spa

I expected a lot more for 18,900 tk for one night, but left feeling the visit was a flop and a waste of time and money. There weren’t any fun activities, and the only view was jungle. Soft drinks weren’t available in the buffet, so we had to pay separately. To me, a fair price would be 6-8, no more.

The setting is quiet and pleasant, and the scenery is nice and clean. The bed was comfortable, but it made a lot of noise. The lake beside the room was dirty and seemed to be a mosquito breeding spot. No drinks were included, not even with the buffet, and the food's quality and taste fell short of what I expected. It’s a small resort that you can walk around in ten minutes, so 18k a night feels far too expensive. I think it should cost 7.5k to 9k at most. They should revisit the pricing and make the place livelier.

My stay in one of the villas was nice. It had a comfortable amount of space for a family and a lovely balcony view. The resort has several ways to spend time despite its small grounds: a large pool with well-maintained water, tennis, badminton, and a movie theatre. The area around the pool was slippery, so take care, and the children’s play zone needs more cleaning. The food was a real letdown. The buffet had very few choices and the taste was absolutely bad, which turned an otherwise good experience sour.

The peaceful break at DuSai was exactly what I needed. I was in Sylhet to see family about three hours away, but spent three days here in November 2025 for some time to myself, away from the city’s bustle and the busy pace of visiting family in the village. I wish I’d booked a longer stay. The location feels secluded and serene, while still being ideal for visiting the tea gardens near Sreemangal. The resort is beautifully designed, and I’d put it alongside many five-star hotels I’ve stayed at around the world, perhaps better than some. My room was spacious, nicely furnished, and had everything I needed. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with generous variety. From arrival to departure, the setting, security, and service were impeccable. The staff were friendly and ready to help, and as a woman travelling alone, I felt completely safe. I’d return in a heartbeat, God willing.
