It's a great place, and I'd visit again. The downside was some skaters with attitude, calling skaters they didn't know “Posers” and acting like they were the only ones who belonged. Some were 20 or older and doing this to kids almost half their age. Pretty dumb, if you ask me.

We had a lovely sea view from this beautiful apartment, which had everything we needed for a great holiday. The key manager gave us a warm welcome and explained everything clearly.

I love Blankenberge. It reminded me of what Timmendorfer Strand is for us, apparently. I spent half a day there enjoying the super fine sandy beach and the mix of architecture along the promenade. Old, shabby buildings sit beside new, boxy ones, and somehow it all works, with new places simply built in between. It was sunny but really windy, and I ended up sunburnt! 😁

In the off-season, this little Belle Époque gem is especially nice to explore. It has a distinctive way of life and is a great cure for the autumn blues.
