It's big, so only go if you're rowing. It's a long way from anywhere, with a tiny shower and toilet in the room. Breakfast was very basic.

The service was good and breakfast was nice, but my room wasn't cleaned very thoroughly and the foam beds were uncomfortable. Classmates in nearby rooms said duct tape had been used to patch cracks. There was also an unpleasant smell at night. Still, it was a fairly okay place overall.

The last-minute rate of 74 bucks a night felt very steep. The breakfast was okay and the service was fine. It's a bit bare, and you have to do a lot yourself, but that's what hostels are for. The showers, though, are murderous: the surface is uneven and incredibly slippery. One of our group slipped and nearly broke a leg and hit his head.

I hadn't stayed in a hostel for decades, and I loved the familiar, lively feel of this place. It had the basics covered and is conveniently close to Brugge. The rooms were clean, breakfast simple, and there was a billiards room and terrace. Plenty of parking too. I'd stay again.

A pretty decent hostel with good breakfast and decent rowing support facilities. The water is great for rowing. The location isn't terrific, though what did you expect? Lots of trucks stop there, so don't be surprised to see some Russians.
