Hotel Maraboe

The hotel had a nice atmosphere, and our room was a good size with a comfortable bed and a stylish bathroom. Everything was clean, and the location was very good. Staff were friendly, and breakfast had all the basic things you need. There’s also a separate locked room where you can leave your luggage.

Getting checked in and out was easy, and parking was straightforward too. The location is ideal, and breakfast was fresh, plentiful and good. The rooms are small but practical. One little annoyance: the sockets by our bed were down at floor level, tucked under the bedside shelf, so I had to get on my hands and knees to plug anything in.

We keep coming back and plan to stay again. It’s not expensive and feels worth the price. The hotel is an easy walk from Bruges, with decent sized rooms, comfortable beds, and good showers, or a bath if you prefer. Breakfast has a nice range of continental dishes, and the staff are always friendly and easy to talk to. Parking is available, and there’s a sauna and fitness room too.

For the price, the room was very affordable, and the hotel allows dogs for €10. Parking there costs €20, so we used the parking centre across the road for €15 instead. We only stayed one night at Hotel Maraboe. The location was fantastic, the decor was nice and the service was friendly. A few things bothered us: the walls were so thin we heard everything next door, the shower was clogged with hair and wasn't clean, and the pillows weren't comfortable. Still, those issues wouldn't put me off booking.
