The rooms are distinctive and really comfortable, and breakfast was wonderful. It's also close to the attractions in central Bruges, so getting around on foot is easy.

Pieter made things easy from the start with a map, local knowledge, and the location of free parking on the ring road. That saved us about 45 Euros, and you can pull up outside briefly to unload bags. Breakfast had plenty of variety and changed each day. I'm fussy about breakfast and enjoyed it. The B&B is spotless, nicely decorated, and just a 10-minute walk from central Bruges, so we walked everywhere. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. One of the best places I've stayed anywhere, and I'd definitely come back.

Pieter's kindness and hospitality were the real highlight. He was so willing to help with everything that we felt at home. The building and room felt like stepping into another time, with beautiful vintage details, lots of space, and everything we needed. It was super clean, and the breakfast was one of the best we've had. The cute vintage breakfast room was full of details that made us want to take a ton of photos. The center is only a 10-minute walk away, so exploring on foot was easy. We hope to come back soon!

Our room was clean, and the hotel was close to the center, but the host's behavior and the other issues made this a very negative stay. We paid 300 euros for two nights as a couple, and when I went down to pay, he asked whether we were a couple, brought up the bathroom problem, said the online reviews were perfect, and claimed he had photos and we should have known from the beginning. Earlier, when we raised our concerns politely, he abruptly hung up on us twice before we could finish. A small champagne gift as an apology, which we didn't drink, didn't make up for the rudeness. I hope he learns to handle complaints with kindness, good manners, and professionalism, and find a solution with a smile. There was no privacy because the bathroom area was right next to the bed, especially a problem for a girl trying to get ready. One soap and a little bottled water weren't enough for a couple, and there was no toothpaste or toothbrush. The attic was dark, with no view outside, and felt claustrophobic. The entrance smelled badly of stale air, as if something had died. At breakfast there was no music, so I asked nearby tables if they minded me playing jazz on my phone. They agreed, but the owner rudely told us to turn it off because it bothered him. The people at the other table said they liked it, so we kept it on. Fake plastic flowers in the breakfast area made the place look cheap and lifeless.
