The house is very damp and mouldy, just off a busy perimeter road outside central Bruges. Mould covers the bathroom and is all around the windows. The curtains in the main bedroom are so mouldy that it rubs off on your hands. Nothing dries, and the smell is overwhelming. It needs a lot of money spent on it instead of taking people's money during their holiday. When I raised this with the owner, she was dismissive and rude. I don’t recommend staying here at all.

The old-fashioned apartment is packed with antique furniture and feels cramped. The children’s room upstairs is lovely, though the stairs are quite tiring. I’m sorry I gave your house one star, but that’s my honest assessment. Someone else may rate it more highly. Please accept my opinion, and you have my respect.
6/10
The house is close to the city centre and has three levels, with the bedrooms upstairs and the toilets on the ground floor. The heating isn’t controlled, so bring sweaters.

It’s peaceful and close to the centre of Bruges, and the place was clean. The welcome was especially warm and friendly. This is a guesthouse I’d want to return to. Highly recommended!

Normal isn’t perfect for a vacation.
