The location made it easy to walk around the old town, and the working EV chargers in the underground garage saved me a hassle. There’s also a small pool on the 8th floor, useful for kids to burn off energy, though it’s nothing special. That said, the hotel felt dated and I left less impressed than after our last stay at the Marriott in Ghent. The rooms are small, the bathrooms worn, and the toiletries were basic airport-hotel stuff, not what I expected from this brand. The fridge was empty, which seemed like a missed chance to sell a few drinks. Being right in the center also means noticeable street noise, so light sleepers should bring earplugs. Breakfast was fine, about 7/10, but the spread was identical each morning. Watch the extras too, €9 for a large bottle of still water is a lot. It’s decent for a short visit thanks to the location, but don’t expect modern comforts.

We had a lovely family stay over Christmas. The location is right by the Christmas markets and busy tourist streets, yet the hotel still felt quiet and tucked away. Staff were friendly and polite, and check-in was quick and easy. The hotel was clean, with comfortable, spacious bedrooms and recently updated bathrooms. There’s also a good-sized pool and a sauna on the top floor.

The staff made this stay especially memorable. Kristien is an outstanding hotel manager, experienced and professional, and the team reflects her work ethic, friendliness and commitment. Tom gave us a warm welcome, Elizabetta helped with our many questions, and Mathijus was always smiling and even brought extra cookies with the coffee pods we requested. When our return flight time kept changing, staff arranged an extension and kept the taxi company updated while we waited. We spent five wonderful days at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Bruges, from the reservation through checkout. Our room in the historic section had massive wooden beams and looked across a quiet street to a charming restaurant. The modern furnishings, spacious spotless bathroom and great shower-tub combination, with very hot water and strong pressure, made it comfortable too. It was an ideal spot for walking to all the sites, while remaining very quiet. We didn’t use the indoor pool or sauna, but the family traveling with us enjoyed those clean, nicely appointed facilities in their free time. We can’t wait to return to Bruges and the Crown Plaza!

The reception staff really stood out, especially Matthew (I think that’s the right name, hehe). They were so friendly, helpful and professional. The place had a lovely atmosphere, and the spacious, clean room and excellent bathroom made for a comfortable stay. It was also in a convenient spot, easy to get around from. Loved it :)

We were upgraded to a suite as diamond members, which was a nice surprise. The hotel bar was pretty nice too, and they have their own parking lot. It’s right in the middle of Bruges’ old town, just a short walk from all the tourist spots. Highly recommend.
