The room was a good size, the bed was comfortable, and the location was great. But getting around the property was difficult: the lights in the main area and first stairwell were off, so I had to use my phone torch. We expected stairs, but they were incredibly steep and narrow, making it hard to carry luggage. We couldn't find heater instructions, and at first it kept switching itself off, though we eventually worked it out. The TV didn't work either, the remote was unresponsive and there were no channels. The fitted sheet was only fixed on two corners of the bed. Communication with the owner was poor. A couple of questions I sent before the stay went unanswered, and our message about the TV during the stay was ignored too. We did get an email with suggested brunch places the day before we left. The downstairs common room was freezing and uninviting, and its heater wouldn't work. We heated meals in the microwave on a couple of nights, hoping to eat at the table, but it was so unpleasantly cold that I wouldn't have wanted breakfast there either.

The host's warmth and helpfulness made a big impression, from the welcome when we arrived to the local restaurant and attraction tips and help with any questions. The B&B be is tucked away on a quiet little street in central Brussels, so the main sights, shops, and restaurants are easy to reach on foot or by metro without the usual city-center noise. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy bed, free Wi-Fi, a mini fridge, and a modern bathroom. I also enjoyed the fresh breakfast options each morning. With the convenient location, comfortable room, and kind host, this stay exceeded my expectations and was truly memorable.

Apostolou made breakfast feel special every morning, serving fresh, delicious food with a big smile. The rooms are spacious, the bed is super comfortable, and it's wonderfully quiet. This lovely little B&B is just minutes from Grand Place. We can't wait to come back, and I'd put it on the list for a Brussels visit.

The bed and room were good, but getting inside was a frustrating first impression. We never received an email explaining how to enter, and although there was a WhatsApp number by the door, it still took a while to get into the building. After a long day, bring some patience. I've stayed at other B&Bs around Europe, and this one is lacking the entrance experience they had.
