Hotel Windsor

It's a basic two-star hotel in the Centre, which is perfectly fine for a night or two. The bathroom is a little small, but otherwise it was a perfectly decent place to stay.

My flight got cancelled after I'd booked a non-cancellable room, so I politely asked the managers if they could reimburse me. They kindly agreed to my request and let me off the charge. That was very considerate of them, and I recommend dealing with the hotel.

Louis was so kind and gave exemplary service. The room price felt a little steep, but we had no complaints, especially with our three-year-old along. The location was fantastic, and our room had a view of the NYE fireworks. Service and comfort both get top marks from us.

We paid before seeing the room and had no choice but to spend more money on another hotel. The rate was non-refundable. If you're booking at the last minute, at least ask to see the room first, and read the reviews before you book. This place felt unsafe, dirty, and grotty. There was blood on the radiator, dirt in the shower, dust and dirt on the bedside tables, dirty bedding, and a dirty floor. The atmosphere made us uneasy. The bedroom doors don't lock, there's no safe, and you're expected to leave your card key at reception when you go out. I couldn't feel sure our belongings were safe in a room that didn't lock. The reception staff weren't very friendly either. Some reviews mentioned bedbugs. The central location might be fine if you only need a place for one night, but I wouldn't feel safe leaving my things there.
