There's loads to admire in this house. I spent ages looking at the historic details, mouldings and carpentry, and the quality of the building is obvious from the ground-floor shop right up to the fold-up stair to the well. The furniture suits the building and is eclectic. It's well equipped with a coffee machine, fridge, hot plate and around a hundred different beer glasses. The sofas and beds are comfortable, and the water is hot with good pressure. The only caution is the staircase: it's extremely steep and precipitous. One person in our group fell down a few steps one morning, though no harm was done. It wouldn't suit anyone with mobility issues. The house is very central, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Mort Subite is a great spot for a drink, just across the road.
