Fishmarket Apartments

Alex was a great host, and I appreciated his advice to catch the trains to Ghent and Bruges from Central Station instead of Midi. It made the trip much easier. The bed and room were very comfortable, and breakfast was delicious each morning. The other guests were friendly, too, and fun to talk with over breakfast. We all felt lucky to get the B&B at a reasonable price. My husband and I would happily recommend B&B Fish Market and stay there again if we return to Brussels.

Breakfast was great, and Alex was such a warm, friendly host. He also gave us helpful advice for our trip around Belgium. My husband, adult daughter, and I had a wonderful three days at B&B Fish Market. The house is in what felt like Brussels’s best area, with easy access to bars, restaurants, shops, and walking routes. Our two rooms were beautiful, spacious, and clean, with a lovely shower and a cozy bed. I’ll always choose this micro hotel when I’m in Brussels. Just perfect.

We had a great stay, and the rooms are huge. The bed was only okay, though. I took off two stars because it wasn’t the advertised king size, just two single beds tied together to make a double. Breakfast was fine, continental and good quality. I was pleasantly surprised by the shared lounge with an honesty bar. It’s a great spot to relax, and there’s also a spa guests can use for free.

The host was helpful and enthusiastic, and the old mansion has large rooms plus access to a gym, spa, balcony, kitchen, and cigar room with self-serve drinks and alcohol. Apparently, a knight owned the mansion before. Since it’s an old building, you can hear the floors creak and people moving through the hallways.
