ibis Brussels off Grand Place

The train station right nearby is a huge plus, and the location is excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. I only had constant door slamming and hallway housekeeping for noise, nothing else. I was travelling alone, and the mattress was the main problem. In my first room it sagged on both sides, like it had been slept in for years, leaving the middle raised and making it impossible to get comfortable. I asked to change rooms. The second mattress was a little better, but slanted somewhat toward the top corner. The room also had chipped paint and looked like it needed updating, or at least a fresh coat, though I actually liked the decor. With new mattresses, I'd absolutely consider staying again.

The buffet breakfast was great, with plenty of choice, and there's a bar just off the hotel where we enjoyed a small bite and a drink. The room was clean and comfortable, and staff were friendly and helpful. A charming, well-located place for a Brussels visit, with the main attractions within walking distance. I really enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is pet friendly, which I loved. I don't think dogs are allowed to be left alone in the room, though, and one poor dog barked for more than an hour. Our own stay was great apart from the noise near our room: we were close to the storage room, and every morning from 6 we could hear people talking right outside the door, probably hotel staff. I'm grateful they're working so hard so early, but it felt like they were in the room with us. The hotel was good, and the staff were amazing and welcoming.

The front desk team was amazing, and the simple, low-key rooms had that very European feel I loved. It was just right for me and my sister. The location is PRIME, with amazing sights literally minutes away on foot. Brussels was a wonderful experience, and the hotel made it even better. I highly recommend it and will stay again next time I'm in Belgium.
