We got a good price and had no major problems, though there wasn’t anything especially impressive either. The location was convenient enough, around a 10-15 minute walk from town and the trains, and communication with the rental agency was very easy. Our apartment was decent, with a comfortable bed, a full kitchen, and plenty of wardrobe space. The kids managed to sleep on the couch, but I’m not sure it would suit adults or teens. There were no sheets, blankets, or pillows for it, and the towel supply was tight: just two for four people. I was glad we got a first floor apartment, since some are up several narrow flights of stairs. There’s no luggage storage.

We booked this property shortly before our trip, on 19 August 2018, and paid in advance. We arrived on time, but the door was locked. When we called, we found out they had moved our booking to another place without telling us beforehand and expected us to get there at our own expense. We refused. They rudely told us, "do whatever you like." My family and I spent four hours out on the street, including my elderly parent and little girl, before we finally filed a complaint with the nearby police station. We’re still trying to get our money back. We’d come to Brussels for the last day of the Brussels flower carpet event in 2018, but the whole day was lost finding another hotel at very high prices and wandering around outside. Another guest coming out of the hotel told us two more families had gone through the same thing the day before.

There’s plenty of storage, and the location is ideal. Everything you need is there.
