I ended up here after missing the last Eurostar to London, and it seemed to be the only hotel available in the city. The room smelled so bad that I kept the window open all night to try to clear it. The bathroom was even worse, and its lights didn't work. It was bad enough that I wouldn't use it, and I left early in the morning. Knowing what it was like, I'd rather have slept in the train station.

I'm disgusted by the service. The hotel is neglected, there is police violence in the area, and on top of that there are illegal and reprehensible operations. The establishment's closure seems entirely understandable. I fully agree with a former guest who said, "Filth reigns supreme on the carpet." I share that view completely. The hotel has fallen a lot in my estimation. Shameful!

The receptionists were friendly, and the hotel is close to the city center, which is why it gets one star from me. Inside, it was noisy enough to feel like sleeping in the street. The room and bathroom were tiny, and the carpet, curtains, chairs, and even the stained bath towels were filthy. There was no breakfast, the drinks vending machines were broken, and the hotel window was smashed. When I left, I felt like I was in North Africa...
