I was travelling alone, and the walk from the station to the hotel didn’t feel safe to me. The location had looked appealing on paper because it was about 10 minutes from Grand Place and Brussels Midi, but my stay had a lot of problems. The rooms were very large, yet dirty and poorly maintained. The sofa and sheets were unclean, my husband got bug bites after he joined me, nobody came to clean the room, and there were no curtains to block the morning light. The Wi-Fi was down for all five days. There were also noise issues. At check-in, reception didn’t explain the code needed to get in at night, which became a headache. I’d only consider it if being near Grand Place on a very tight budget is your priority. Otherwise, I’d look elsewhere and would avoid booking this place.

The place is handy for getting to the stations, but the surrounding area is dirty. My room was dirty too, and the floor hadn’t been cleaned. There was no TV; they could at least have provided access to Netflix instead of a screen nobody can watch. Only one of the two lifts was working, and the AC didn’t work.

I was unsure after reading the reviews, but this turned out to be one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. It’s close to the city, Brussels midi main station, the metro and tram, and the staff are friendly when they’re there and available by phone when you need support. The room had lots of space and storage, a huge shower, a clean, attractive kitchen area, plenty of sockets, and window safety locks. The city views were lovely in daylight and at night, and the Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay. The only small issue was that one side of the bed felt a bit sunken. I loved the stay all the same.

I’d been frightened by the reviews, but my stay was fairly okay. The service was friendly and approachable, and the location is great. Still, the place urgently needs a deep clean: there were flies in the ventilation and other things that needed attention. Please give it a proper clean.

Nothing at the hotel left me satisfied. The TV was old, the bathtub didn’t work, and despite asking four times on different days and at different times, we never got the coffee machine brought to us. The parking door didn’t work either, and you have to open it from inside. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
