Hôtel Van Belle

What stood out was the hotel’s character: an industrial feel softened by warm touches, so it felt welcoming right away. The room was simple, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. The bathroom had what you need, and the thick, good-quality towels were welcome after a long day. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, served in a relaxed setting without unnecessary extras. In the evening, the bar was a nice place to have a drink or sit and chat. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I’d gladly come back and recommend it.

It’s a decent, clean hotel, and the location puts you within a reasonable distance of Grand Place and other sights. But the neighborhood is really dirty and doesn’t feel safe. The hotel seems stuck in a strange spot.

The area around the hotel had quite a bit of rubbish in the streets. Inside, though, the rooms were very clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It was comfortable, but there were a few things missing: no tea or coffee facilities in the room, and no air conditioning, which made it quite warm at times. A few improvements inside and outside would have made the stay better.

A good budget hotel, around a 15-minute walk from the City Centre. The staff were friendly and attentive. The neighborhood wasn’t the best, but it didn’t bother us as two women walking around.
