The place was filthy, the worst hotel around. It cost a lot and offered very little. There was mold everywhere, the cards failed every time we went to the door, and roosters woke us in the morning even though we weren’t on a farm. Breakfast cost €10 extra, which is not included? Seriously? There was also a horrible second-hand smoke smell everywhere. Worst hotel.
The room looked fine at first because we just dropped our bags at check-in and went to meet a friend. We got back late and went straight to bed. In the morning, it was obvious the floors hadn’t been cleaned. There was mildew all over the ceiling above the shower, open panels in the wall that you couldn’t see with the bathroom door open, and outlets that looked like fire hazards. The toilet smelled like sewage when flushed. When we went to check out, the lobby smelled of urine and we had to wait in it for ages because nobody was there to speak to. We had to put the key in the mailbox, but no one had explained that at check-in the day before.
The beds were comfortable, and surprisingly the coffee and croissants were the best part of breakfast. The choices were limited to muesli, yogurt, coffee, juice, toast, and croissants. The place looks old and tired, with cigarette smell in the corridors and rooms. Good for one night if you want somewhere cheap and quick and don’t care much about appearances. There wasn’t enough parking. I spent 20 minutes just trying to fit into a small spot.
We slept well, and the room was big, but cleaning was poor and the smell in the room wasn’t pleasant. For the price they charge, they could do better. Breakfast, though, was really good and we enjoyed it.
We got two large, spacious rooms for a family holiday at a really cheap price. Each had a kitchen with a fridge and its own bathroom. Check-in could be done at any time, the lifts worked fine, and the area was clean. Each room had a fan and TV, but no air conditioning. Wi-Fi reached the rooms but was very weak. Breakfast was good, though the selection was limited to a few kinds of bread, cheese, coffee, tea, juice, yoghurt, cereal, and milk. The bathroom light was faulty. Getting into the underground parking was difficult: the entrance is narrow and nearly damaged our car, and the parking itself is tricky with a big car. The hotel is about a 20-minute drive from the city centre, so nights were mostly quiet apart from noise from the nearby airport.
