Top Spot Residence

The apartment’s location was amazing, but we couldn’t sleep because the soundproofing was the worst I’ve ever experienced. It was also terribly dirty and infested with bed bugs. We had to leave as soon as we could and ask for a full refund. The company ruined our first holiday in years. Do not go there under any circumstances.

Easy to find, and check-in went smoothly with friendly staff. The apartment was large and had the basics, but it was cheap for a reason: it was noisy, and the water pressure was awful. The fridge had been left off, so cold food wouldn’t be much use if you arrived with any. The so-called double bed was two single beds pushed together, with separate single mattresses and duvets. We faced a busy pedestrian street, with noise late into the night, then cleaners starting before 6 a.m. The shower pressure was especially poor, not enough to rinse shampoo from long hair.

Someone had actually slept in our apartment before we arrived. There were two separate mattresses on the double bed, broken light bulbs, no TV remote, and dirty sheets. We also couldn’t lock the apartment from the inside. They gave us incorrect check-in codes, and the codes weren’t changed, so people could easily get into the apartment. Staff could only be reached through WhatsApp, and nobody replied. The shower was another mess: no water for 30 minutes while I was in it, then only ice-cold water and such low pressure that washing my hair wasn’t possible. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

There were black marks all over the walls, and the place wasn’t clean at all. There were bugs in the beds and all of us got bitten. My neck was red, and there was a big spot on the couch. We’d booked two nights, but moved to a room at the Hilton near Central Station for the second day. Much better. I wasn’t satisfied at all. This aparthotel deserves zero stars, though the minimum is one. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.
