The owner cancelled my booking on the day I was due to stay, without explaining why. I'd reserved the room a month ahead, so I called. The staff member raised his voice and told me they couldn't accommodate me. The phone conversation alone was such bad behaviour that I wouldn't recommend booking here.

We booked a week in advance, but the owner cancelled our booking on the day itself without giving any explanation. Our calls went unanswered. Zero points for this guest house.

The bed was good, and the price was low. The location is very close to both the station and city centre, so we can overlook a lot. But the place is filthy, especially the shower and toilet, and lots of things are broken. We didn't use anything, and were glad we'd brought plenty of things ourselves. The extra bed, a camping bed for one adult, is really bad. Older people should be careful: everything is on the second floor, and the stairs are rickety, especially the handrail. Still, given the price, we accepted it.

The hotel is in a quiet spot with no traffic noise, but I won't be coming back after staying in many hotels. The room wasn't cleaned properly, with candy wrappers still in the bedside tables. The toilet was dirty, the shower needs descaling and cleaning, and the toilet wouldn't flush. Water could be heard running all night. The tea and coffee just had MacCie sauce, and the kitchen wasn't great either. I definitely don't recommend this hotel.
