A pleasant surprise was being able to check in early when I arrived at 11:45 am. The property is quaint and well maintained, the rooms are a fair size for a European hotel, and there’s an espresso machine in each room along with good WiFi. It’s good value, with enough room for solo guests, business travelers, or couples. I didn’t notice much street noise. The location is great, close to Les Galeries St. Lambert shopping mall and plenty of restaurants. You can walk to sights including Montagne de Bueren, St Paul’s Cathedral, and the Meuse River. Staff were courteous. Depending on who’s at the front desk, there can be a bit of a French-English language barrier, but basic French and Google Translate were enough to work things out.

We stayed in room 8, which was spacious and really nice, and we could leave our bicycles in the yard. The building has been beautifully restored and feels luxurious. It’s a lovely boutique hotel in central Liège. Breakfast is expensive at 19 euros per person, so we skipped it and got coffee around the corner. Still, we’ll very likely come back next time we’re in town.

The staff were super nice, though nobody was on site after 9 pm. We stayed in compact room #7, which worked for two people. The historic building has a modern update, on a quiet cobblestone lane in Old Town Liege. We didn’t have breakfast. The road is blocked off and lined with local artisan shops, and Nuevice is building a bigger hotel across the street. The staircases could be a problem.

For such a tiny hotel, I didn’t expect the room to be so advanced. The facilities were exceptional, with touch controls for everything. There are loads of lights to play with, whether you want a romantic mood, bright lighting, or something for reading. The bathrooms are large and have basic toiletries.

We booked the family room for two adults and two kids, and loved it. The room was nice, and the quiet setting made it easy to enjoy our three-day trip to Liege. The hotel is on a lovely little street with no cars.
