Gîte « Chez Mémé »

There’s a strange mix here: lots of things are fantastic, but some choices make you wonder why. The place is new, clean, roomy, and in a nice location near the village. It’s easy to live in, with good lighting, a fine bed, a nice kitchen and garden, parking, working wifi, friendly people, and a useful board with information about the area. No problem there. The interior could use more care and taste. It feels as if someone hired a good architect, then finished the inside themselves. There’s no lock on the toilet, the dining table feels out of character, and a four-person house has only a three-person couch with no extra armchair. The couch also makes it awkward to sit close together. The bedroom wardrobe looks like something from a student room, and some of the door finishing is odd or broken. I’d still recommend it, but it could’ve been a 10.
