BB La Porte Cochre

We loved how much history the old mansion holds, and it’s right in the middle of Ypres. Our room was roomy and very clean, and breakfast was delicious. The hosts made us feel welcome, shared useful ideas about places to see, and were always happy to chat. We’ll definitely come back.

Steven and Catherine were so warm and welcoming that we felt at home straight away. The whole B&B was spotless, and our large room was lovely and clean too. Breakfast was waiting for us in the morning and tasted great. I only wish we could have stayed longer. I’d happily recommend La Porte Cochere.

We visited while Covid rules were in place, and the B&B had clear, easy safety procedures. People around town, including in the bars and cafes, also seemed to be following the rules. The house itself is spacious, with nicely decorated rooms, and breakfast was delicious. The hosts were friendly and gave us helpful tips on local places, as well as help with bookings. It’s right in the heart of Ypres.

The breakfast was really good, with plenty of bread, cheese, cold meats, fruit, juice, and coffee. Our room was warm and comfortable, and it was cleaned daily with fresh towels and toiletries. The B&B is spotless and has everything you need for a visit. It’s close to the train station, making the main sights in the area easy to reach. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. A real find in beautiful Ypres, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting. Thanks so much, Katrien and Stephen, for a lovely stay. I’ll see you again.
