Bed and Breakfast Art

The owners are so kind, and the cottage looks out over the pond and lovely garden. It’s a peaceful, beautiful spot with an excellent breakfast. We’ll return with our bikes next time. A must during a stay in Belgium! We stayed August 6th to 11th, 2025.

The breakfast had everything we wanted, with plenty of sweet and savory toppings, fresh apple juice and fruit. We were sorry it rained, since we’d have loved to sit by the pond in the lounge chairs. Thanks, Cathy, for such great service. The whole place was TOP, and we enjoyed our stay. Our room was in a separate wooden house behind the owners’ home, with our own garden gate and a lovely view of the garden, pond and cows. Parking was free right in front, on the right side of their home. The very friendly, helpful hostess welcomed us and explained everything clearly. Breakfast was laid out in the room where we could choose the time. There was a fridge for our own things, plus drinks available for a fee. The room was nicely furnished, with a large, sturdy bed, a good mattress and two pillows each, two comfortable seats, a TV, mobile air conditioning, blackout curtains and windows that tilted open. The curtains across the windows still let us see the garden while giving privacy from outside and keeping out mosquitoes and flies. It was quiet and well insulated, even in the rain. The frogs were the only sounds, which was a special touch and never constant or disturbing. There was a separate toilet and a large walk-in shower, with plenty of room for clothes and belongings in the bathroom. A little more light in there might be handy.

We booked this place for a visit to restaurant De Jonkman because we couldn’t find nice accommodation near the restaurant, and we didn’t regret it for a second. The welcome was very warm, and the modern room was spotless, with lovely views over fields full of sheep. Coffee and tea were available, as was a well-stocked honesty bar at fair prices. Breakfast was well prepared, healthy and generous enough, with the Sunday paper on Sundays. Highly recommended!

We had a very friendly welcome and loved the great location. The delicious breakfast in the sunshine was a real pleasure.
