Eskada Bijch Ahtopol Hotel

The staff made the stay for us. They were exceptionally polite and cheerful, and so patient with our child, who kept grumbling, wandering around and touching the windows and anything else he could leave fingerprints on. They even found ways to entertain him. The housekeeper on our floor deserves special appreciation too. She made little towel animals, like dogs and swans. Our room was cleaned every day, and the service was very good. The food was tasty, with something different each day, including soup at lunch and plenty of salads for lunch and dinner. The hotel is in a handy spot, about five minutes from the beach and four minutes from the centre. I'm glad I booked here, and would give it five stars.

The two large pools, free spacious parking and closeness to both the beach and town centre make this a good choice for families with children. Breakfast quality was low, though, and most of the staff seemed new. They weren't very kind or customer focused.

There isn't a place for hotel guests on the beach, so going down to the seaside means paying for a spot. That's one of the problems here, especially for an all-inclusive hotel. The dining room seems too small for the number of guests. Food and plates often ran out, and people had to wait for staff to bring more. The food itself was awful and prepared without care, the drinks were poor quality, and the internet barely worked at all. This place has gone downhill over the past five years. I really can't recommend it.

The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and good food, and it's one of the few places in Ahtopol where you can still find a table during peak hours. The service wasn't bad, just slow, with only two people covering a lot of ground. One unpleasant moment: my beer glass had been chilled in a fridge that had moths in it, and it smelled awful. The staff replaced it without any fuss. Still, it's hard to recommend.
