Hotel Leda

The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, and the price was very reasonable. The center is a short 15 minute walk away. After checkout, the friendly staff looked after my luggage for a few hours. I'd happily stay again when I'm in Sofia.

I've stayed at Leda twice now and would recommend it to anyone visiting Sofia, whether for a short or long stay. The rooms were clean, the location was great, and the staff were wonderful and incredibly helpful. The one small issue was a slight sewage smell from the bathroom. Closing both the toilet door and lid took care of it, and then it was perfectly fine. Otherwise, almost everything was great: the room was clean and generally good, and check-in was easy. Daniela was especially friendly and helpful after our long journey. The location may seem unfamiliar to international visitors at first, but we had no trouble during our stay. It's about 17 minutes to the airport by taxi, and the ride cost 20 BGN, which felt very reasonable. We were satisfied and would consider coming back.

The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. They lent us the utensils we needed and were always available to make coffee or tea. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and we liked the hotel, though it's a 15+ minutes walk from the centre. At first we were put in a dark first floor room facing a wall, with a strange smell, probably smoke. It was easy to switch, and we got a much better room of the same type on the top floor. That left us wondering why we were initially given the objectively worse one. Maybe we seemed too agreeable. We're not sure, but it didn't feel right.
