The sea view was awesome, and the room was clean. The staff were friendly, and the queen bed was okay, but the sofa was bad and there were no towels or glasses for water or other drinks. The elevator looked good but made me feel it could break any second. I only stayed one night, and I'd come back for the view, nothing else.

We paid about 60-70 EUR for an apartment with a sea view and two bathrooms. A garden-view studio was also available for 20EUR less. The pool had no entrance fee and was open until 18 o'clock. The apartment was very clean, and the host was lovely, spoke very good English, and pointed us toward better ATMs and restaurants around town. My only complaint was the drywall, materials and furniture, which made sounds seem much louder than they were. It wasn't too unpleasant or a deal-breaker, but you could notice it in some details.

The large terrace looks out over the sea, and the rooms are spacious. You're also very close to the Queen’s “Quiet Nest” and the bars and restaurants along the coast. A lovely spot with everything you need, and more, for a weekend in Balchik.

The beds were awful, so I had to sleep on the couch. Since these are privately rented apartments, it really depends on which room you get. The furnishings vary a lot.

The rooms are spacious and clean, with very large windows. Queen Maria's Palace and botanical garden are a five-minute walk away. The sea-view apartments have a lovely view.
