Apartment in Edelweiss Inn

The fast, reliable Wi-Fi and the friendly dog keeping watch over the property were nice touches. We also liked the quiet, secure, cozy rooms and the real wood-burning fireplace. There’s a sauna, jacuzzi, and workout room, too. The manager was professional and helpful, and spoke English well. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the town center, with a small shop and restaurant roughly a block away. Great value for a romantic Bansko getaway.

The gondola area is about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel itself was nice, though cleanliness could have been better. The heating worked one day, then stopped. Most of the staff didn’t speak English, but Mr. Calin spoke it well.

We found clothes left by previous guests and garbage bags under the sink, and the room and towels weren’t very clean. The kitchen was poorly equipped and the oven didn’t work. They switched off the heating each morning, so we had to ask for it to be turned back on when we returned in the afternoon. The broken balcony door let in cold air, and the first night we nearly froze. In the evening, even with the heating on, the hot water was actually cold.

During our stay from 30.01 - 03.02.2018, the radiators were cold the whole time, and there was no toilet paper or cleaning service. The trash was never taken out. When the snow melts or it rains, the area in front of the hotel turns into a mud bath. The jacuzzi smelled bad, and the place was very cold.
