Mountain Paradise by the Walnut Trees

Our room went uncleaned throughout our stay at the hotel from 13th up to 18th January. We asked for it to be cleaned for two days, but nobody came. The cleaning ladies finally showed up on the 5th day and said they had too much work and hadn't had time to get to the rooms. That's unacceptable. Cleanliness is one of the most important parts of renting accommodation. I don't recommend this hotel.

We stayed from February 5th to February 9, and not once was our room cleaned. There were no fresh bedsheets or towels, and everything was so dirty that I got a rash on my hand. Even the floors felt sticky. Mountain paradise felt more like mountain hell. I'm never coming back and wouldn't recommend it. Stay away.

The pool and spa were the bright spot: the pool was large and clean, the hot tub was great, and the spa area had steam rooms, saunas and more. Everything else made the hotel's four star rating hard to believe. Our room was dusty, with damaged doors and furniture. The sheets hadn't been changed when we arrived, we didn't have clean towels, and both sheets and towels were changed only every 4th day. The pillows were small and uncomfortable. The bathroom smelled of ammonia the entire stay, and we got little or no soap or shampoo. Heating couldn't be adjusted in every room, leaving one room constantly hot and the others cold. Staff were no help with our problems. Kids from a skiing camp/school made noise past midnight, but staff did nothing to warn or fine their teacher or supervisor. We also had WiFi trouble and they didn't fix it. The bus driver who took us to and from the skiing slopes was the one good exception, always kind and on time, without a doubt the best staff member. The food was unpleasant, with few options and nothing appetising. The worst part was the cups: we had to use plastic cups for coffee and tea, and they melted when hot drinks were poured in. When we complained, staff said they had no glass cups. That's absurd.

The garden was good and the hotel has plenty of space, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The managers aren't doing their job properly. The location isn't too bad, though there's practically no parking. The room doors were very old and squeaked whenever we opened or closed them. We stayed with friends for 5 nights, and nobody cleaned the room or took out the trash in all 6 days. The bed sheets were never changed, and the sheets on one bed were dirty. Our apartment was meant for four people but had beds for only two, so we had to ask the maids to turn the living room sofa into a bed. We ran out of toilet paper quickly and there wasn't another roll. The room was cold because the heater worked only for a few hours in the morning. We ate all our meals at the hotel restaurant every day. The food was horrible. There was no fruit, the vegetables tasted like plastic, and lunch and diner were exactly the same throughout our stay. Breakfast was very mediocre. Nothing was prepared well, and the things meant to be “meat” neither looked nor tasted like meat. There wasn't much choice of drinks, and we had to use plastic cups. No table had oil, vinegar or olive oil, so the food tasted completely bland.
