Boutique Hotel Ruvan

The central location is good value for the price, tucked away on a side street. It’s a small hotel with a 24-hour reception, handy for early or late check-in and check-out. Friendly staff, good service, clean rooms, a comfortable bed, modern bathroom, and AC. The doors aren’t very thick, so I could hear other guests opening and closing theirs. There’s a construction site across the street at the moment, but noise was fine since they didn’t start before 7 or 8 o’clock.

The room was clean, but both it and the bathroom were smaller than they looked in the picture. Street noise also kept the room too noisy at night. This was my second stay, and the receptionist was rude and unhelpful for the second time. We needed parking, and she told us anywhere around the building was a “blue zone” that didn’t operate on weekends, so we’d only need to pay in the morning. We parked very close by, but by the time I tried to pay the next morning, the authorities had already taken the car. It turned out to be a green zone that operated on weekends too. The parking wasn’t clearly marked, so I trusted the hotel staff’s advice.

The location is great and the staff are friendly. The room was very clean and had air conditioning, much appreciated in 33°C temperatures. Breakfast was included, a nice light continental spread. We were in a front room with okay curtains, but one window had an opaque cover that let some morning light through. Light sleepers might want an eye mask and earplugs, though I’m not here to sleep all day!

We stayed as three people, and our room was clean and tidy. Towels and sheets were changed and the room cleaned regularly. Maria was very polite and helped us a lot, and she gave us treats. The hotel is in a very nice location, close to the sea and the street where the town hall is.
