We had a great time on a trip with Ivan to the Venetsa and Kozarnik caves in his awesome Lada. Ivan and his wife are very nice and approachable. Guesthouse Elena itself is comfortable and clean, and the price is affordable.

The hosts were really friendly, and there’s a supermarket close by. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, with a shared kitchen and dining tables. All Belogradchik’s sights and restaurants are an easy walk away, and the rooms are simple and affordable.

The shared kitchen and dining area is spacious and open, and the host was friendly and gave us recommendations. Our room had its own toilet, but the room itself was very small. We struggled to get our suitcase inside. Still, it was a pleasant stay.

The beds were comfortable, the showers had hot water, and there was a functional kitchenette. Local sights and restaurants are within walking distance. We’d booked the wrong dates and arrived without warning, but Ivan was friendly and accommodated us. We had a fantastic stay at Guesthouse Elena.

Our host spoke very little English, but he asked some of the other guests to help translate. He was keen to tell us about nearby restaurants and showed us how to get to the fortress. Really friendly, and highly recommended!
