Elmona Holiday Stay

Renovated houses, nothing like the 60 year old bungalows around here. Everything was very nice, with a clean, comfortable place and a big playground for kids. It's on the 2nd line from the beach, about a 5-minute walk. We had a lovely stay and will go again. Recommend it!

The trees keep it from getting too hot, even when the weather is scorching, and the cabins are clean and roomy. It's a 5min walk to the beach. There's cooking gear, so bring your groceries, or walk to a nearby shop for meat, veggies, alcohol, and other basics. The grounds are enclosed and have a playground where kids can play on their own. A nice spot to get away from civilization without giving up necessities. We'd visit again next year.

There's a lovely garden with climbing frames and an open kitchen with a barbecue, and the bungalows themselves are nice. Cleanliness was only so-so: there were insects in our room, and the maids didn't change our sheets or towels during our 7 days there. The vending machines sometimes take your money without giving you the item you picked.

The road up to the bungalows is in terrible shape, so drive carefully. The furniture was new, not from the 50s, which was a plus. I liked the cute idea of staying in a bungalow, but ours had no internet, and it was so humid that the room smelled strange. The patio was so small it made me feel claustrophobic.
