The staff were the highlight for me. The hotel is also well placed, with the beaches and old town nearby. The apartment had no kitchen at all, so we couldn’t even make coffee, and the freezer was tiny. The cleanliness could use some work.

It’s a good fit for a casual stay, though probably not for someone with very high expectations. The place has several kinds of accommodation, and the location is a big reason to book. The interior does feel a bit dated. Staff are friendly and will handle an extra room cleaning or other reasonable requests. Since it seems you pay by the room rather than by the person, larger families and groups, including 3+2, can get a really good rate.

Elena Palace feels like more than a hotel, the staff make you feel like family. They’re unique people, and the hotel itself is lovely, with a wonderful location. The staff really are unique!

The location is convenient. Our first room had very weak air conditioning, but the receptionist moved us, and we appreciated that. One small thing for the cleaning staff: between 2 and 4 pm, many people are resting, so knocking on doors every day then isn’t ideal :)
