Hotel Ostrova

The owner had a party until 3 in the morning, so there was hardly any sleep, and the staff had left for the night, leaving no one at the desk. In the morning, when I asked for a refund, the receptionist and owner became aggressive and threatening. The expensive suite wasn't ready for guests: the fridge, phone, and TV didn't work, the bath supplies were inadequate, and the shower was lousy. Staff acted like fixing all of this was my responsibility. It felt like something from a Stephen King novel.

It's a stylish hotel in a peaceful, tree-filled area right by the Rowing canal. The receptionist was polite and helpful, and the hotel offers massages, a sauna, and a steam bath. My only reason for giving it four instead of five stars is that the restaurant seemed understaffed, and its manager was quite noisy at lunch. Otherwise, I'd recommend it for a temporary escape from the city.

A good place to rest and sleep, with a wonderful swimming pool and a very good restaurant. It's a small hotel in the park, near a great sports center and water base, designed in a Bulgarian retro and traditional style.

The location is quiet and the pool is nice, but the service was poor and the receptionist rude. The rooms smelled of cigarettes, the bikes were broken, the TV cut out every 10 minutes, and the food was tasteless.
