We had booked two nights through booking.com and were there in person, but nobody answered at the entrance. Eventually, we got a message saying the hotel was overbooked. I'm more than sure there were rooms available, since the platform showed availability later that evening and the next day. What upset us most was that the hotel marked our reservation as a "no-show," making it look like the situation was our fault even though we'd arrived and were messaging the management.

The breakfast was simple, but I enjoyed it, especially the fluffy, delicious omelet. My room was clean and had enough space for one person, though I forgot to take photos. I stayed two nights while visiting Plovdiv last week. The receptionist was very helpful: she called the restaurant for me when I needed to change a booking time and couldn't speak Bulgarian, and she checked transport options to another city. The bathroom had a large and a small towel, shampoo, and soap. For some reason there was no hot water in the shower, but the weather was quite hot, so I didn't ask them to fix it. The location was great, with a small 24-hour supermarket just a two-minute walk away.

Parking is very limited, so you might have to hunt for a space. Good luck, since everywhere is either a zone or private parking. The rooms are old, with barely any sound insulation from the street below, so don't expect a quiet night. The AC didn't work properly, and on the third floor the water pressure was laughable. The whole hotel has a particular smell, and the receptionist was rude, irritable, and frankly unpleasant. The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. There are far better hotels and Airbnbs for the same price!

The first room, room 22, was clean but very old. I think its AC was older than I am, the air smelled, and the tappet on the wall was ancient. The staff were nice and gave us a different room with more decent furniture and new AC. It was very nice for the two nights we stayed while visiting Plovdiv. Good breakfast, a nice position about 10 minutes from the center, and nice staff. I'd suggest adding mosquito nets to the windows. The weather was pleasant at night, and I would've liked to sleep with the windows open, but couldn't because of the mosquitoes.
