Redenka Holiday Club

Our apartment had two rooms and a small kitchen, and cost €50 a night. Breakfast was included for my stay, and it was fine, though nothing special. The pool is a decent size but not huge, and it's 1.60 m deep. The hot tub area beside it uses hot mineral water and comfortably fits up to 10 people; the rest of the pool is regular water, which was nice too. Parking was close by and easy. I didn't try the restaurant, so I can't comment on it. The hotel is about 5-8 km from Razlog and roughly the same distance from Bansko. A good option for a relaxing, affordable pool break with kids.

The spa was a highlight, with a clear pool, a consistently warm jacuzzi, and well-kept steam and dry saunas. Our clean room had everything we needed, including a little kitchen. The complex has both hotel rooms and separate houses, which suit families or groups of friends. It's in a great location, and I had a fabulous stay. Dinner was the one letdown, since the buffet didn't offer much variety.

We had a good time overall, especially with outdoor play areas for the kids and a nice lobby bar, but the stay had too many problems for me to leave a positive review. We came to Redenka just before Christmas with family, friends, two babies, and a dog. The hotel had promised cribs, but ours was broken. Reception said someone would sort it out, yet nobody came until we pushed again. We had a similar problem with the spa, which was meant to be open from 8 to 21, but only the pool was running. The pool was warm and pleasant, though at 1.60 m throughout it wasn't suitable for children, especially babies. We'd booked a studio with a kitchen and bedroom, but had to specifically ask for the key that switched on the kitchen. We had breakfast and dinner included. The first day's meal was good, then the dinners seemed to be recycled leftovers. Twice, we had to tell staff that the cheese had expired. The baby seats were never cleaned, which was ridiculous.

The hotel has a unique setting with a wonderful view, and the pools are great. The hot tubs are filled with mineral water. We left very happy, even though the restaurant lines quickly got crowded after the open buffet service for breakfast and dinner was cancelled. The staff handled things so politely and professionally that it made up for the trouble. Absolutely recommend it!
