When the power went out in Govedartsi, I urgently needed a room with working WiFi. I found one here quickly, at a perfectly affordable price. The staff were nice and quick, the WiFi was good, and the balcony had a great view.

The bathroom and pool were the only clean parts. I was sharing a double room with a friend while travelling with a group, and the room was in terrible shape: dirty walls with bloody spots, dried drink spills on the floor, broken doors, and some furniture that was dirty and broken too. On our first day, the restaurant food was undercooked and spoiled. I wouldn't come back.

Friendly, helpful staff gave us suggestions for things to do in and out of the hotel when we asked. They said we couldn't use the pool, but could use the gym. The location is great, with supermarkets nearby and Bulgaria's highest peak not far away. Breakfast was basic and isn't buffet style: you choose one item per person from a menu. Water, juice and coffee are self-serve, and fresh juice costs extra. Great value for money.

The room was clean and normal, and we tried both the pool and the gym. There's a wide choice of tasty dishes at the restaurant, but the service was so poor that we ended up giving it four stars. Our group had about 30 people, and the servers were 16-year-old kids who just couldn't manage everyone. The managers were there but didn't help. It all moved slowly, and many of us were left without meals, which made us angry.
