We liked the hotel’s atmosphere enough to add another night after stopping there for a quiet rest following a long drive. We spent the afternoon in the Vitosha mountains after visiting Boyana Church. Next time I’m driving through Sofia, I’ll know where to stay.

The rooms feel luxurious, the location is perfect, and the staff are good. Everything was perfect!

10/10
There was a loud party downstairs, and they should have warned us or offered a discount. Still, the room and bathroom were nice, the Wi-Fi was okay, and parking behind the building is free. I’d read some worrying reviews, but our room was clean and didn’t smell of smoke. The pillows could use an upgrade.

2/10
The room was cramped and had a persistent odd smell. The air conditioning and circulation didn’t work properly, so it stayed that way. We had no water for a whole day. Breakfast comes in just three prepared options, and the ingredients were so poor I wouldn’t recommend it. I can’t understand the hotel’s high booking score and star rating. There were very few staff on duty at any time, so they must be under pressure. I don’t think it’s fair to blame them for the poor service and attitude.

6/10
The parking area is quite large, and the rooms are nicely furnished with a very comfortable bed. But this hotel doesn’t deserve five stars: the restaurant menu is limited, there’s no valet to help with luggage, and breakfast offers few choices. We had the English breakfast, which was far from delicious.
