Boutique Hotel Aurora Sofia

Check-in was quick, and the employees were helpful. They arranged a taxi for me a couple of times when I asked. The room was a good size, with a new, clean bathroom and a window that let in plenty of sunlight. The hotel is modern and comfortable, and an easy walk from the city center. I’ll definitely stay here again.

There are metro, tram, and bus stops nearby, and the hotel also has affordable parking, which was really useful. We enjoyed the tasty, generous breakfast and found the staff pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is lovely, right by central Sofia. We had a great stay and hope to return soon.

For a hotel in the heart of a centuries-old capital, it feels refreshingly new. The building and interiors are stylish, and despite being in a busy central area, it sits on a small, quiet street. Most architectural landmarks are close by, as is the biggest mall in the center, about 100 meters away. The price feels more than fair for the location and look of the place.

Peyo, the Manager, and Djorgiya, the night manager, were especially helpful with restaurant suggestions and sorting out anything we needed. The whole team was friendly throughout. This is a welcoming, intimate new hotel close to downtown Sofia. A taxi from the airport cost us $12, and Yellow taxis are the ones to use. Opalchenska sta. is about a 7-minute walk away for the Metro from the airport. Breakfast was simple and excellent every day. I’d recommend the Aurora Sofia without hesitation.
