This felt more like a lodging house than a real hotel. We paid for a twin, non-smoking room, but the smell of cigarettes throughout was unbelievable. We lasted less than ten minutes before deciding to find somewhere else, even though the “hotel” is supposed to be non-smoking. When I explained that we wanted to cancel, the receptionist snapped at me in Bulgarian to cancel it myself. I asked for the manager and got no answer and no manager. I called booking to ask for help sorting it out. The receptionist said the money would be back in my account within two days, but by Tuesday, after this was said on Saturday, it still hadn't arrived. When I contacted the hotel, they rudely told me to call my bank or booking because they'd sent it. By Wednesday, I still had nothing. The receptionist was super rude and didn't speak English. The area looked a bit dodgy and wasn't central Sofia. The place was expensive too, £88 for two nights. Later we found a much better hotel for £80, just a five-minute walk from central Sofia. The “hotel” looked nothing like the photos. Be aware.

The room was tidy and clean, but the bathroom was cramped. The key cards didn't work properly, and the small elevator felt like it might fall.

I was on the fifth floor and could barely hear the street noise, so I guess higher up is better. The rooms are big and include bathroom amenities. There's a 24-hour check-in desk, the staff are friendly, and the AC works well. The bed was comfortable enough.

Good value for the price, with clean rooms and facilities, and free parking was great. The rooms were standard. Breakfast was minimal, the coffee was terrible, and the Wi-Fi signal was awful.

My room price included breakfast, and I thought the choices were quite nice. The breakfast room is downstairs from the lobby. The staff speak English and the rooms were clean. There were no English-language cable channels, which would've been nice on the rainy days I had there. With the windows open, I could hear a lot of traffic during the day. Still, it was a nice place to stay. There's a market and plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and Sofia zoo is an easy walk along one road.
