The morning receptionist was exceptionally polite and professional, and breakfast was satisfactory. But I was there for business, and cleanliness and comfort fell well short of what I needed. The first room hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest. One of the two beds was unmade, and the toilet had been used and not flushed. I reported it immediately. A man I assumed was the manager, though he didn't introduce himself, promptly moved me to a second room. That room was clean, but the heating only worked in the bathroom. Outside it was -4°C with strong winds, and the main room was freezing. I woke at 6:00 AM and couldn't get proper rest before work. It's a shame these basic failures overshadowed the polite staff and decent breakfast. I hope management takes the issues seriously and improves its quality control.

The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, and the hotel's location made getting around the city easy. A local tour we joined even used it as a drop-off point, which was especially convenient. The room was comfortable enough for a short stay, though nothing luxurious. The breakfast buffet covered the basics, but the selection felt limited. It's a nice extra if it's included, but I probably wouldn't pay more for it. Budapest Hotel Sofia seems like a practical choice for convenience and friendly service, especially at the right price.

The bed was nice and big, and the accommodation was really comfortable. It's right by a tram line. The shower has enclosed glass so water doesn't splash everywhere, and the hot water worked great. There was also a decent buffet breakfast and Wi-Fi. Whenever we had an issue, Mariana at the front desk sorted it out straight away. 5 stars.

There’s a monitored car park that’s locked at night. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the center. Our room for four was really spacious, with two double beds, and the bathroom was big too.

We checked out at 12pm, and the products they offered were good. Getting around from the hotel was easy, and I thought everything was great, breakfast included.
