I'm still shocked by how the staff handled this. At first, they put us in a large room with three beds and said we'd move to another room the next day at 11. I think they simply hadn't prepared the room in time, because the staff arrived later. We agreed twice that we'd move at 11. The staff didn't speak English, and a woman used a translator that worked so badly that there may have been a misunderstanding. But we waited until 12 the next day and nobody came or told us to move. We went out because we only had two days in Bulgaria and didn't want to stay inside. A few hours later, Pashov called us. That was strange since we'd said we had no internet or local SIM card, but he managed to call my neighbour after we found Wi-Fi. He said we should be ready to move. We told him we'd agreed on 11, but nobody had come. He called it a misunderstanding and said we could come back, or they could move our things. I didn't want anyone touching my things, and told him it wasn't my problem that his staff couldn't speak or understand even basic English. He started arguing and asked what he was supposed to do. I said he was the hotel host, so it was his responsibility. He told me a family with two children was waiting and it would be my fault if they ended up on the street, then hung up. I called him again, and after more arguing and him repeatedly ending the call, I agreed because of the kids. We had to come back from the mountain station and move our stuff. I thought I could speak to him calmly, since he kept hanging up whenever he got nervous. Instead he sent a woman who didn't speak English and made her apologize to us, though that wasn't even the main problem. The next morning, on our last night in the hotel, I woke at 5 a.m. because two drunk men were laughing loudly in the room we'd been told the family with children would use. That woke people up. Pashov had lied and manipulated me, saying it would be my fault if two children were left on the street to cover his own mistake and poor time management. I want Pashov to act as a manager and provide moral compensation. It was inappropriate for an adult man to manipulate and lie, get nervous, argue with a guest and fail to deal with a problem he caused or even speak calmly.

We spent a few days in Bulgaria and Sofia, and the manager made our stay easy and comfortable. Thanks for leaving us with such good memories of your beautiful Sofia.

The room was spacious, warm and clean, and the place itself was neat, calm and close to the center. It was a great stay. Thanks for the good service.

We stayed from 14/08/2025 to 17/08/2025, and for the price, this is a great place in Sofia. The owner was kind and helped with everything we needed. The room was cozy, quiet, comfortable and clean enough, though the old building definitely looks its age. The Wi-Fi signal was strong, the air conditioning worked, and there was hot water in the shower. There's also a handy shared room and kitchen for cooking or having coffee and breakfast. The location is very central, near the center of Serdica and five minutes from the metro, with cultural sites, museums and restaurants nearby. For such a low price, I think it's a great place to stay.

The hostel owner was lovely and really accommodating to us. Great location, and a quiet stay.
