Hotel 007

We were greeted by the hotel's new owner, who was really friendly, and the service was perfect. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. For the price, it's a really nice hotel, in an excellent spot near Sofia Airport and the bus stations.

We stayed for one night before flying home. The room could have been bigger, and the price felt a little high, but otherwise I have no complaints. Parking is right in front of the building. There's a small grocery shop next door, though unfortunately it accepts cash only.

We wanted a hotel with parking near the airport, and this was a wonderful choice. It took us 10 minutes to reach Sofia airport the next morning. Our room was very spacious and perfectly clean, and the bathroom had everything we needed.

The bathroom was clean, with good shower pressure and a steady supply of hot water. But during our four-night stay, the maids never changed the bed linens. They replaced the hand towel once, but left the obviously damp body towel where the hand towel had been. There's a tram station nearby, so it's very noisy with the window open. Cigarette smoke was heavy in the rooms and corridors, and even the towels and linens smelled of it. The AC filters were dusty, and turning on the AC brought out a strong cigarette odor. The pillows were uncomfortable, and the Wi-Fi was extremely bad and unreliable. Receptionists always wanted the key returned, even if we were just going to the nearby grocery shop. Bring your own towel, and, if cigarette smoke bothers you, your own bed linens too.
