The noise from the cars made it impossible to sleep. The rooms were really dirty, too, and had a strong cigarette smell. I don’t know where it was coming from. One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

The room was spacious, but dirty, and the mattress looked like it hadn’t been changed in a long time. You can see what it looked like in my photos. I also noticed the cigarette smell in the bathroom, as others have mentioned. The location was the first thing I’d mention. The hotel is in one of Sofia’s ghettos, where you unfortunately see some shady people, abandoned houses, and too many stray dogs. A strange place to stay in Sofia.

A staff member came into my room at 9:30 while I was asleep. I woke up and was in the room, so I wondered if he might have been trying to steal something. There’s no room service, which made that especially concerning. The price is okay and fairly cost effective, but I’d suggest paying a little more or looking elsewhere. I don’t recommend this hotel.

It’s simple, like an ordinary home, and there’s no hassle. A perfect spot to relax.

A handy base for a few days of sightseeing, with the metro nearby and prices that are reasonable. The staff speak English and are friendly. It’s a mid-range hotel.
