The staff were absolutely lovely, and they even got us in early despite the very short notice. We enjoyed our stay and would come back if we had the chance. The location is fantastic, close to major metro stations and bus stops, with a 24/7 shop, pharmacy, and more just nearby. The rooms are comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep and some privacy. It’s a one- or two-star hotel, so you get what you’d expect. What are people expecting?

The location is nice and the staff are friendly, but the pictures on booking.com are pretty misleading. Cleaning was a real problem. The sheets and towels weren’t changed over our three days, and when we ran out of shampoo and toilet paper, we had to ask for them ourselves. There had only been one small packet of shampoo to start with.

On our first visit, the staff were really friendly and helpful. My partner and I could leave our bags well before check-in, and they even helped store some things in their freezer. The room was clean and welcoming, with no strong smells. The shower had good pressure and hot water. There was a TV and we got remote controls, though I didn’t use it. The room was quiet at night, as were the other guests, but airplane noise made us shut the window. It was late September and already rather warm in the room, maybe too hot in summer. I didn’t see an air conditioner. One bedside lamp was broken, and the bathroom/shower door had no handle or lock. We could find only one phone socket, halfway up the wall rather than near the floor. We paid 83 leva for the double room in 2023. All in all, a positive stay. We came back in winter and again found the staff, especially the ladies, very helpful and friendly. This time, though, the reception was full of cigarette smoke when we arrived, and it had reached our room too. I raised it and they moved us straight away, into the room we’d had the first time. That room was clean and smoke-free at first, but about an hour later smoke started coming in again from a neighboring room where someone was smoking heavily. I brought it up again, but the staff felt they couldn’t do anything about it. We slept with the window slightly open. I was okay with that, but my girlfriend was cold. The room was heated, and I was warm enough, though the blankets were thin and there was only one spare. My girlfriend woke up sick in the morning. The staff were kind enough to give me some fever medicine.

The towels smelled so bad that I avoided using them for all five days and let myself air-dry after each shower. One night I woke up and, without thinking, used one to dry my hands. The smell was on my hands too, and I couldn’t get back to sleep. Bring your own towels. Apart from that, I can recommend the hotel for its very cheap prices and wonderful staff. They even woke us up and called a taxi to the airport. I arrived late at night with a friend, and the receptionist welcomed us warmly and explained how the door lock worked. The room was basic, but seemed clean.
