Art Hotel Babylon

The atmosphere at Babylon Hotel was peaceful, just right for relaxing. Our room was roomy, spotless and cozy, and the staff were consistently cheerful, quick to respond and ready to help. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone wanting comfort and excellent service on a Sunny Beach vacation.

We only stayed one night, which was lucky because the experience was pretty bad. The bar prices were reasonable and the cocktails were well made, and the pool itself was nice, but the water was cold and there was hair all over it. The room had nice equipment, but water from the air conditioners was a real problem. One flooded the terrace, while the other ran inside the apartment beside the bed. The bathroom had a bathtub but no shower stand or curtain, so I had to hold the shower in one hand and the whole room got wet. There was no siphon either, meaning we had to mop after every shower to prevent flooding. The water heater also couldn't provide enough hot water for four people. We'd booked with free parking included, but were told to move our car so other guests could use the hotel's spaces. We then had to pay BGN 25 to park somewhere else. The outside looked attractive, though indoors there were broken tiles, mattresses in the hallways and building materials.

The restaurant food was good, though the included breakfast could use improvement. The staff were really friendly and helped us with everything, and our room was clean. We were also allowed to check out late without paying extra. It's a nice older-style hotel, and having parking was useful, especially in Bulgaria.

We spent three days at Babylon. It's farther from Sunny Beach, but the prices are more reasonable than in the popular tourist area. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated, with a superb shower. Food was fresh and tasty, and the bar by the pool stays open 24/7. The pool was very clean, though the shallow end was 1.5m, which may be too deep for some, and it was a bit small compared with nearby pools. Service was good, and the staff were friendly. A very good hotel, strongly recommended.
