MPM Hotel Orel

The staff were great all through our stay, friendly even when we had trouble communicating because of the language barrier. The hotel itself is lovely, but some guests were pretty rude. When the snack bar opened, it could turn into a free-for-all, with no real queues.

The room mattered most to me, and mine was a cozy, clean one on the 8th floor with a lovely sea view. It wasn’t huge, but that was fine. Housekeeping gave it a 10/10, cleaning and replenishing things daily. Our floor’s chambermaid was Snezhana, who was really nice and good at her job. The others we met also seemed friendly and capable. The staff were helpful and always smiling, from the reception team, who were easy to reach, to Natalia at the lobby bar. The location is handy too, right by the beach, with plenty of sun beds and shops and bus stops within walking distance.

The beach was brilliant, though after 6 o’clock we had to walk around the hotel by way of the dirty market. There wasn’t proper observation in the sea. The food was nice apart from the mashed potatoes, which were absolutely horrendous, and the coffee was bad, just instant. My child only liked a few of the shows and activities, so the animation team didn’t provide enough entertainment for her. The rooms were really small, and the showers felt cramped and uncomfortable.

The location worked really well for us, near the main strip but far enough away to have some peace and quiet. We had a fantastic stay. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were cleaned, and we got fresh towels. Staff were always ready to help with anything we asked. There was enough variety in the food for everyone to find something.
