The apartment was roomy and comfortable, with a lovely place to eat on the veranda and a stunning view of the sea. It was also easy to find free parking. The location is excellent, close to the beach, hospital, shops and market.

The management company does its best to keep the place clean and tidy, and they're always making improvements. Still, the maintenance fee feels high given the downsides, especially the lack of a pool. It's a large, beautiful building squeezed onto a small plot, with no parking on site. There's a paid lot right outside the windows, and its fumes spoil the air.

We bought a studio close to the beach and like it so far. We haven't been to the beach yet, but summer is coming, and we'll rent the place to holidaymakers. I still don't know the rules of the complex.

It's deserted, with nobody looking after the place.
