This was the best place we stayed during our two weeks in Bulgaria. The hostess, a grandma, speaks only Bulgarian, but a smile was all we needed to communicate. Her hospitality made us feel like long-awaited guests, with a real warmth that felt like home. When we asked for a knife to eat watermelon on the terrace, she brought one from her kitchen along with plates, a cutting board, glasses for rakia, and more. Breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend staying here.

The view is wonderful, and we’d love to return to the beautiful Rhodope mountains to hike and explore more. Demi and her family at Kristal Guesthouse were amazing hosts and made us feel so welcome. We had a lovely breakfast on the terrace or inside the cosy house, and they helped with tips and arranging a driver for our next destination. Thanks so much and blagodaryam, see you next time! :)

The quiet surroundings made for a good stay. We had a room to ourselves, though the bathroom was shared, and stayed one night before setting off on our hiking trip. An old, sweet lady hosts the place, which has a traditional Bulgarian feel. I personally like that a lot!

We’d happily come back to this calm, cozy place. The hosts were incredibly hospitable, and breakfast was a real treat, with waffles/katmi, homemade jam, and Mursal tea.

The view is incredible, and the people who welcomed us were very friendly and hospitable. It’s a wonderful place to relax, with a very delicious breakfast. Well worth a visit.
