We only spent one night at Hotel Bansko in Sofia with the family, but the welcome made it feel special. The staff were warm from the start and did thoughtful things for our kids to help them feel comfortable. They loved it. We felt looked after and would happily return on another trip to Sofia.

I like hotels with a bit of character, and this family-run place has that quaint, rustic feel. The rooms are a decent size, and the view over Sofia in the morning is lovely. It's up on a hill, so keep that in mind.

ıvan, the Manager, was really helpful, and the staff were so appealing. The hotel was extremely clean too. Definitely the right place for my stay, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The mattresses were good, the view over Sofia from the hill was amazing, and there was hot water. The hotel is family-run, with friendly staff and fair prices. I also appreciated the chai and hot water kettle, and the WiFi was fast. There were cleanliness issues despite the place being generally clean. Old hair was left in the bathroom drain, which smelled rotten, and I noticed a dirty-bathroom smell around the hotel. The nearby post office has large cell phone antennas, and I believe the radiation from them gives me a constant headache and ringing in my ears.
